How to use the Products page

This guide explains the Products screen buttons, product creation flow, import process, and day-to-day management features.

Header Buttons

Import CSV

Click Import CSV, pick your CSV file, and let the app process rows one by one.

Result: Creates products in bulk and shows a success/error summary.

Download Template

Click Download Template before preparing a file to get the latest supported columns and examples.

Result: Downloads a ready-to-use CSV format generated by the backend.

Add Product

Click Add Product to open the form modal and encode one item manually.

Result: Saves a single product and refreshes the products table.

How To Add Products

  1. Open Dashboard > Products.
  2. Click Add Product.
  3. Fill required fields: Product Name, SKU, Type, Cost Price, and Selling Price.
  4. For inventory items, include stock quantity and reorder level.
  5. Optional: set category, supplier, barcode, and description.
  6. Click Save, then confirm the item appears in the table.

Import CSV Best Practices

  • Always download the latest template before creating a CSV.
  • Use valid IDs for category, supplier, and tax rate fields.
  • Make sure required fields exist on each data row.
  • If a row fails, review values, fix the CSV, then import again.

Other Product Features On The Page

Search

Use the search box to find items by name, SKU, or barcode.

Category Filter

Filter list output by category to narrow down product sets quickly.

Type Filter

Switch between all items, products only, or services only.

Pagination

Use page controls at the bottom to browse large inventories.

Edit Action

Edit updates item details such as pricing, stock, and profile fields.

Delete Action

Delete removes a product record after confirmation.
