Result: The message plays out loud on that device immediately over its speaker.

How to use the PA System
Send a live, spoken announcement straight to any registered POS device in your store -- perfect for calling a crew member to a lane, flagging a delivery, or an urgent update the floor needs to hear.
Important: Sending a PA announcement is a mobile-app feature, available to Admin accounts only. It is not available on the web dashboard.
Primary Actions
Target One Device
Announcements are sent to a single registered device at a time -- pick the exact lane, counter, or back-office device you need to reach.
Result: Only that device speaks the announcement; other devices are unaffected.
Message Length
Keep your announcement short and clear -- up to 500 characters.
Result: Longer messages are trimmed before sending.
Recommended Workflow
- Open the SolBiz mobile app and sign in with an Admin account.
- Go to Devices and find the device you want to reach.
- Tap the PA (announcement) icon on that device's row.
- Type your message, e.g. "Attention team, please assist customer at lane 2."
- Tap Send -- the message is delivered instantly and read aloud on that device.
Best Practices
- Only Admin accounts can send announcements -- Managers and Cashiers do not see the PA option.
- The target device must be an approved, registered device on your tenant.
- Use it for real-time floor coordination: calling for backup, flagging a spill, welcoming a VIP customer, or an urgent closing announcement.
- Announcements are spoken once and are not saved -- there is no history or inbox to check later.
Operational Notes
Delivery
Announcements are pushed instantly over a live connection and read aloud with text-to-speech on the receiving device -- there's no delay, polling, or manual refresh.
Mobile App Only
This feature currently lives only in the mobile app's Devices screen -- there is no equivalent button on the web dashboard.
