Create A Modifier Group
Click Add Modifier Group, name it (e.g. "Choose your dip"), and choose Single (radio) or Multiple (checkbox) selection.
Result: A reusable option set ready to attach to any product.

How to use Modifier Groups
Define reusable add-on/customization option sets, then attach them to any product from the product editor.
Primary Actions
Add Options
Add each option with its name and optional price add-on; for Multiple selection, set min/max selections and whether a choice is required.
Result: Customers see these choices when adding the product to their cart.
Link An Option To Stock
Set "Consumes Raw Material" on an option and enter the quantity used.
Result: Selecting that option draws down raw material stock automatically, same as a product recipe.
Recommended Workflow
- Open Dashboard > Operations > Modifier Groups.
- Create a group for each customization set you offer (sizes, add-ons, sauce choices, etc.).
- Add every option in that group, with pricing and stock links as needed.
- Attach the finished group to a product from the product editor -- modifier groups aren't assigned from this page.
- Review existing groups here any time to update pricing or add new options.
Best Practices
- Use Single selection for mutually exclusive choices (size), Multiple for add-ons someone can pick several of.
- Only link a raw material to an option when it genuinely draws down stock -- linking one without a quantity will block saving.
- Mark an option inactive instead of deleting it if it's temporarily unavailable.
- Keep group names specific ("Coffee Milk Options") so they're easy to find once you have many.
Operational Notes
Viewing Is Open, Editing Isn't
Anyone can view existing modifier groups, but only a manager or admin can create, edit, or delete them.
Attached From The Product Editor
This page only defines the reusable groups -- you attach a group to a specific product from that product's own editor.
Requires At Least One Option
A modifier group can't be saved without at least one option, and any raw-material-linked option needs a quantity set.
